Accountabilities:
- Own and manage the end-to-end billing and accounts receivable lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and operational efficiency across all invoicing and collections activities.
- Support recurring and usage-based billing models, including subscription invoicing, contract variations, and complex payment structures.
- Maintain strong AR health through proactive aging analysis, collections coordination, dispute resolution, and continuous monitoring of receivables performance.
- Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, revenue-related reporting, and allowance for doubtful accounts analysis.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements to optimize the order-to-cash function and reduce manual effort.
- Support external audits by managing documentation, PBC requests, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support new product launches, SKU creation, pricing changes, and evolving business models.
- 5+ years of experience in billing operations, accounts receivable, or order-to-cash functions, with at least 2+ years in a SaaS or technology environment.
- Strong understanding of billing systems, ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite), and revenue tools such as Stripe or Salesforce CPQ.
- Experience handling usage-based and subscription billing models, with strong analytical capability in interpreting complex contracts and financial data.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, and month-end close processes in a high-growth environment.
- Experience building or maintaining internal controls, audit support processes, and SOX-compliant documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and a structured approach to operational accuracy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across finance, sales, and operations teams.
