YOUR ROLE
This role manages regional manufacturing costs, capital investments, and production capacity for assigned product groups from early quote phases up to series production. Working closely with Sales and Engineering teams, this position develops highly competitive manufacturing quotes to win new customer business.

Note: This is a planning, quoting, and financial-alignment role; the engineer is not responsible for the physical launch or execution of the program in production.

RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Partner with Sales to deliver comprehensive quotes including manufacturing costs and capital investments.
  • Calculate total investments required for the purchase of all machinery, equipment, and production tooling.
  • Prepare quotation files for new product industrialization with EGM/LME technical support.
  • Support line concepts by collaborating with EGM/LME on costs and estimated cycle times.
  • Provide gap analysis comparing current quotes to financial targets and create gap closure plans.
  • Align capital requests across the region to match business strategies.
  • Support Program Teams and MSD (Manufacturing System Design) activities regarding purchasing and manufacturing system design changes.
  • Oversee Regional capacity infrastructure for designated product portfolios.
  • Manage capital forecasts and budgets within the Capital Forecast Tool system.
  • Secure funding plans for required production equipment and specialized tooling.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Automotive Industry
  • Bachelor's degree or similar with financial background (Industrial, Process, Mechatronics)
  • Outstanding analysis capabilities for cost calculation, budget, capital planning and management
  • Ability to work and live in a global network environment
  • Outstanding knowledge of lean concepts
  • Outstanding knowledge of financial figures
  • Advanced English
