Marketing Communications Specialist
Title: Marketing Communications Specialist
Location: Seattle, WA
Job Type: Regular Full-time
What’s the Opportunity?
Anchor QEA is in search of an organized, creative, and insight-driven Marketing Communications Specialist to join our growing Client Experience team. Reporting directly to the Senior Marketing Manager, this role is responsible for advancing and delivering strategic marketing communications initiatives that strengthen Anchor QEA’s brand and engage key audiences across digital, social, and earned media channels.
- Ability to conceptualize and implement a cohesive social media and digital content strategy through LinkedIn and Instagram, aligned with Anchor QEA’s brand voice, tone, and mission.
- Must have 8-10+ years of professional experience managing social channels — creating, scheduling, and publishing engaging posts (text, graphic, and preferably video), and curating content from subject-matter experts and internal staff teams.
- Strong writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail; comfortable drafting captions/posts, and proofreading content for clarity, tone, and brand consistency.
- Experience and initiative collaborating cross-functionally — working with marketing, design, content, technical, and project teams — to surface compelling stories about Anchor QEA’s environmental science and engineering work and translate technical projects into accessible content for clients and communities.
- Strong long-form writing skills, with experience developing articles and project stories that highlight the firm’s technical expertise in a clear, engaging way for external publication, including company website and earned media outlets.
- Experience drafting press releases and media advisories that communicate project wins, milestones, and company announcements with accuracy and consistency.
- Experience tracking and analyzing social media metrics and web analytics, translating data into insights and routine reports, recommending optimizations (e.g., timing, content formats, engagement tactics) to increase reach and engagement.
- Basic graphic and/or video content creation experience using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite; able to assist internal or external designers in producing visually appealing social and digital content.
- Organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage content across all channels concurrently (social posts, website updates, email lists, editorial calendars), while maintaining a high level of quality, brand integrity, and compliance with content usage rights and copyright rules.
- Collaborate as part of an integrated Client Experience team, including marketing specialists, Market Sector Leads, proposal managers, graphic designers, event producers, technical editors, and internal staff teams to develop coordinated, client-focused communications and marketing deliverables that strengthen the Anchor QEA brand and support business growth.
