Position Title
Material Handler / Receiver (Day Shift)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Job Purpose
The Material Handler / Receiver is responsible for receiving incoming materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, issuing materials to production, and ensuring raw materials and supplies are available to support daily manufacturing operations. This position plays a vital role in warehouse organization, inventory control, and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming raw materials, supplies, and finished goods.
- Verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage and report discrepancies.
- Unload trucks and transport materials to designated storage locations.
- Accurately enter receiving transactions and inventory movements into company systems.
- Issue raw materials and supplies to production departments as needed.
- Stage materials for upcoming production jobs.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper material identification and storage.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Coordinate with Purchasing regarding material shortages, damaged goods, or receiving discrepancies.
- Maintain organized warehouse, receiving, and storage areas.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety requirements, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous receiving, warehouse, inventory control, or material handling experience preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred; certification a plus.
- Basic computer skills and experience working with inventory systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
