The Commercial & Investment Banking (CIB) Controllers organization ensures financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement.
As a Legal Entity Controller (LEC) within CIB, you are responsible for overseeing activities in legal entities, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial results and statements. The current opening is within GF&BM CIB Controllers in WHEM LEC, which is part of the CIB Line of Business (LOB) within GF&BM India.
Ensure regulatory reporting and compliance for key Asia Pacific regulators (RBI, HKMA, MAS, APRA, etc.).
Complete fortnightly capital adequacy, CRR, and SLR reporting as required by RBI.
Manage monthly capital adequacy, P&L, and balance sheet reporting for Legal Entity Controllers.
Oversee quarterly capital adequacy submissions and survey-based reporting to local government statistical departments.
Supervise FR/FFIEC reporting, expense and revenue allocations, local regulatory submissions, and FX hedging.
Oversee daily and weekly monitoring of critical ratios, including capital adequacy, liquidity, FX, and large exposures.
Prepare and submit weekly financial statements and liquidity reports for selected balance sheet items.
Conduct quarterly P&L and balance sheet reporting, including onshore/offshore ratio-based analysis.
Analyze legal entity and line of business results, including variance analysis, booking validation, and transfer pricing compliance.
Partner with Financial Control, Tax, and other stakeholders on revenue allocation and transfer pricing updates, and work alongside regional controllers to resolve legal entity and line of business inconsistencies.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
CA, MBA, CFA, ACCA or CMA with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
Solid understanding of industry practices and accounting principles.
Strong analytical abilities and interpersonal skills.
Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Familiarity with process transformation methodologies or automation solutions.
- Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and financial products.
- Knowledge of SAP, Axiom, WDesk.
- Knowledge of Alteryx, Qlik Sense, Python.
