Accountabilities:
- Lead and coordinate project teams consisting of engineers, designers, controls specialists, and scheduling professionals involved in nuclear power plant modifications and analyses.
- Manage all aspects of project execution, including safety, schedule, budget, reporting, quality, and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Direct project resources, establish accountability, and provide mentorship and coaching to team members.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, task engineers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to established requirements.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators related to project progress, costs, schedules, and overall performance.
- Identify, assess, and manage construction and execution risks.
- Track project changes, evaluate impacts, and implement appropriate controls.
- Communicate project updates, challenges, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
- Prepare technical reports and studies that clearly present engineering information while meeting client standards and documentation requirements.
- Analyze project issues and develop solutions that improve performance and outcomes.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Academic background including coursework in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
- 10+ years of experience in a technical field such as engineering, construction, project planning, or related disciplines.
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary engineering or technical teams.
- 5+ years of experience serving as a client liaison or technical lead in a support or leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, resource coordination, and budget management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with engineering design, construction management, or technical consulting is a plus.
- PMP certification, MBA, management/business education, or proposal writing experience are considered valuable additions.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
