About Authorium
Authorium is the governed front door for government documents. Every consequential thing a government does starts as a document, whether a scope of work, a minimum needs statement, a bill analysis, a project charter, and it has to become governed, structured action: an approval, a procurement, a contract, a grant. We start with the document, connect it to a governed AI layer, and let it accrue the actions that turn it into a workflow.
We’re investing in AI capabilities — both internally and externally — building workflows specifically for government operations, and building an AI-first operational culture to accelerate our work and go further. AI isn't a side project here - it's reshaping both what we build and how we build it.
The Role
We’re looking for a Product Manager to own a defined product area end-to-end. You’ll drive the full product development lifecycle for your area, from discovery and requirements through delivery and iteration, with regular alignment to the Head of Product.
This role is a strong fit for someone with 2+ years of PM experience who wants to take full ownership of a product area within a fast-moving, mission-driven company. PMs at Authorium prototype their own concepts, and for anyone who wants to deepen their coding skills, we actively support that growth. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Solutions, and client stakeholders to build software that modernizes how government operates.
What You’ll Do
Product Strategy & Execution
Own the roadmap for your assigned product area, aligned to broader product strategy and business objectives.
Drive the full lifecycle from discovery and requirements through delivery and iteration.
Write high-quality user stories, specs, and PRDs reflecting product principles and platform direction.
Define and track KPIs and success metrics for your product area.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Collaborate with Engineering to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of features.
Partner with Solutions and Client Success to capture delivery and adoption feedback.
Present requirements and rationale clearly to internal stakeholders.
Participate in product planning and delivery processes.
Customer & Market Orientation
Conduct customer interviews, user research, and competitive analysis to inform product decisions.
Engage with client stakeholders during requirements and validation phases.
Prioritize user experience and accessibility in product design and delivery.
Quality & Process
Maintain organized requirements artifacts, decision logs, and release documentation.
Contribute to product planning processes and team standards.
Participate in retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
Required
2+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally with a B2B SaaS company.
San Francisco Bay Area-based: Energized by an in-office (Monday-Thursday) collaborative culture.
Proven ability to own a product area end-to-end, from discovery through delivery.
Strong collaboration skills with Engineering and customer-facing teams.
Clear written and verbal communication — you can explain the “why” behind product decisions.
Customer-driven mindset with both a holistic view and the capability to execute.
Experience working in an agile environment, managing backlogs and sprint ceremonies.
Demonstrated fluency with AI used as a serious part of how you ship and please show us examples.
Preferred
Experience in a regulated industry (govtech, fintech, healthcare, or similar).
Familiarity with document-centric or workflow-heavy products.
Experience conducting user research and translating findings into product requirements.
Technical background or comfort collaborating closely with engineering teams on implementation details.
Comfortable prototyping using Claude or similar AI tools
Genuine enthusiasm for coding and growing into it
How You’ll Work
Ownership and follow-through: You take responsibility for your product area and close your loops.
Quality by default: You write clear specs, validate assumptions, and document decisions.
Team-first mindset: You collaborate openly, seek feedback, and support your teammates.
Customer orientation: You ground your decisions in user needs, not assumptions.
Growth orientation: You actively build toward senior-level scope and judgment.
