Job Description
As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Team in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a fast-paced retail location, where you will patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, with responsibilities that may include vehicle patrols and responsive support across the location. - Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, common areas, exterior perimeter, and parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance, access, and policy-related issues.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for unusual activity, assist with de-escalation when needed, and support loss prevention and other security-related procedures in accordance with site guidelines.
- Assist with opening and closing activities, observe customer and vendor movement, and communicate clearly with management and/or team members regarding incidents, hazards, and operational concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
