Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) at CHI Williston Health, you will help patients across all age groups suffering from cardiopulmonary conditions receive high-quality, physician-ordered respiratory care so they can promote their health, recover effectively, and improve their overall well-being. Every day you will perform a full spectrum of basic and intensive respiratory therapies, acting as a physician extender to assess, manage, and treat patients. You will be expected to deliver expert care including aerosol therapy, oxygen administration, mechanical ventilation management, and airway management; participate in rapid response teams and patient rounds; educate patients and families; and collaborate seamlessly with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. To be successful in this role, you must be a highly skilled and dedicated RRT with a passion for evidence-based practice and a talent for working in a dynamic, patient-centered environment.Deliver expert care by performing a full spectrum of basic and intensive respiratory therapies as orderedAct as a physician extender, assessing, managing, and treating patients with various cardiopulmonary conditionsProvide vital patient and family education on conditions, disease management, and equipment useCollaborate and communicate seamlessly with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient transitions of careActively participate in departmental meetings, integrating evidence-based practices, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives
Job Requirements
RequiredGraduate of an accredited/AMA-certified School of Respiratory Therapy (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)Current North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care license
