Accountabilities:

    The AI/DevSecOps Installation Architect will serve as a senior technical authority responsible for leading solution architecture, product deployments, and engineering excellence. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to guide teams through complex software development and modernization initiatives.

    • Lead customer product installations and serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex issues.
    • Define system, application, and technical architectures while recommending scalable and cost-effective solutions.
    • Establish enterprise integration patterns and guide the implementation of AI-enabled and cloud-based capabilities.
    • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, data architects, and stakeholders to design secure, mission-focused solutions.
    • Provide hands-on support throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
    • Support agile development practices through sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and technical reviews.
    • Perform code reviews and establish development best practices aligned with technology standards and customer requirements.
    • Develop proof-of-concept prototypes to demonstrate the value of emerging technologies and improved processes.
    • Research, evaluate, and recommend new tools, frameworks, and technical approaches to improve delivery quality and efficiency.
    • Support DevSecOps automation initiatives, including CI/CD workflows and cloud deployment improvements.
    • Provide technical estimates, level-of-effort assessments, and architectural guidance for development activities.
    • Partner with functional experts and developers to create realistic implementation plans and technical solutions.
    • Support user acceptance testing, product demonstrations, and executive-level technical briefings.
    • Mentor engineering team members and provide guidance on architecture, coding practices, and technical decision-making.
    • Drive modernization and migration initiatives across applications, infrastructure, and data environments.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is an experienced software architect with strong DevSecOps, cloud, and technical leadership capabilities. This role requires expertise in designing large-scale applications, supporting federal technology environments, and communicating complex technical concepts effectively.

      • U.S. Citizenship required.
      • Bachelor’s degree in any field with at least 5 years of combined commercial and federal experience in software development, DevOps, and technical leadership.
      • Eligibility for Public Trust clearance, with existing Public Trust or DoD CAC experience preferred.
      • 5+ years of progressive experience with cloud and DevOps technologies, including:
        • AWS and Azure.
        • Terraform.
        • Command-line interfaces (CLIs).
        • Open-source technology stacks.
        • Native cloud services and serverless technologies.
        • Experience managing large-scale applications supporting significant user populations.
        • Ability to design and implement technical solutions addressing complex business requirements.
        • Experience reviewing and improving technical architectures, development practices, and engineering workflows.
        • Strong understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps practices across the full software development lifecycle.
        • Experience leading software design, development planning, system modeling, technical documentation, and solution delivery.
        • Ability to support application modernization and migration initiatives.
        • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
        • Self-driven approach with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and resolve challenges proactively.
        • Strong customer-focused mindset and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
        • Preferred qualifications include:

          • Experience with Node.js and Python development.
          • Experience with GitLab, AWS CodeCommit, and GitHub workflows.
          • Experience deploying DevSecOps solutions through CI/CD pipelines to cloud platforms, including AWS GovCloud.
          • Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
          • Experience with RHEL7 Linux.
          • Familiarity with Iron Bank images.
          • Knowledge of identity and authentication systems such as ForgeRock and OIDC frameworks.
          • Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
          • Experience troubleshooting complex custom application issues.
