And we're just getting started.Join us to put AI to work for people. Job DescriptionWe are the ServiceNow Software Development Kit (SDK) team. We build the tools and command-line interfaces that allow developers to build scoped ServiceNow applications entirely outside the web browser. Our work enables developers to write, test, and manage platform applications using local editors (like Visual Studio Code), source-control tools (like Git), and AI coding assistants. We own the developer experience end-to-end — making Scoped App development faster, more accessible, and integrated into modern development workflows.  What You Get to Do in This Role Design and own SDK components and CLI tools that enforce best practices for Scoped App development — project scaffolding, testing frameworks, deployment automation, and quality gates Partner with developer advocates and customers to translate user needs into scalable, intuitive tooling that simplifies the Scoped App development lifecycle Build high-quality, clean, and performant TypeScript and NodeJS code that powers CLI commands, integrations, and platform abstractions developers rely on daily Design CLI user experiences and SDK abstractions that make Scoped App development feel native to local development workflows (Git, VS Code, npm, etc.) Integrate AI-driven developer experiences into the SDK — code generation, smart suggestions, or automated testing — and own the implementation Mentor SDK engineers and contribute to architecture decisions that shape how developers build, test, and deploy Scoped Apps Lead technical strategy for material tooling risks and architectural decisions at the team level   QualificationsTo be successful in this role you have:Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into development workflows, developer tooling, or problem-solving (using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on developer experience) 8+ years of experience with full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript development, with demonstrated CLI, tooling, or SDK-level work Deep expertise in NodeJS and modern TypeScript patterns; proven ability to ship production developer tools at scale Experience designing user-centric CLI applications or SDK abstractions that developers love to use Expertise with data structures, algorithms, systems design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations in a distributed context Strong analytical and systems design skills; ability to reason about developer experience, ergonomics, and cross-tool integration Demonstrated ability to own projects with material technical risk and lead cross-team technical decisions  (Nice-to-Have) Hands-on experience with ServiceNow App Engine, Scoped Apps, or ServiceNow platform development Prior experience building CLIs, SDKs, or developer tooling (npm, webpack, Nx, Vite, etc.) Familiarity with VS Code extension development or editor integrations Experience with Git workflows, package management, or local dev environment tooling Tech lead or mentorship track record on developer experience or tooling teams  FD21Not sure if you meet every qualification?
