Accountabilities:

    The Senior Security Automation Engineer will own the design, development, and delivery of security automation solutions that improve operational resilience, compliance readiness, and risk visibility. Key responsibilities include:

    • Build and maintain security automation frameworks that enable continuous monitoring, control validation, and proactive risk management across technology environments.
    • Design security telemetry systems that collect and analyze control evidence in real time, replacing manual compliance processes with automated data-driven workflows.
    • Develop custom assurance logic and automated validation mechanisms to continuously evaluate security controls and reduce audit risks.
    • Architect identity and access automation solutions, including provisioning connectors for custom applications, databases, SaaS platforms, and systems without native identity governance support.
    • Create secure access workflows that enable customer-approved, time-bound permissions while ensuring proper visibility and automatic access revocation.
    • Develop centralized permissions inventories and automation capabilities to improve identity governance, authorization visibility, and security oversight.
    • Build automated secret discovery and inventory processes to identify credentials, API keys, and sensitive access points across environments.
    • Partner with Security, GRC, Engineering, Finance, and Product teams to translate compliance requirements into scalable technical solutions.
    • Reduce operational friction by replacing manual workflows with reliable automation that improves engineering productivity and security outcomes.
    • Support the development of risk assessment workflows and automation capabilities using security data and emerging technologies.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate brings strong security engineering expertise combined with automation skills and the ability to build scalable solutions for complex environments. Required qualifications include:

      • Proven experience in security automation, identity engineering, IAM, IGA, or related security engineering disciplines.
      • Strong programming experience in at least one commonly used language such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go, with the ability to build scalable automation solutions.
      • Experience designing and implementing reliable automation ecosystems for security operations, compliance, or infrastructure workflows.
      • Familiarity with compliance automation, continuous control monitoring, GRC tools, and security frameworks.
      • Strong understanding of identity management, access controls, change management risks, and data integrity principles.
      • Ability to translate security and compliance requirements into automated workflows, technical guardrails, and measurable outcomes.
      • Experience creating security telemetry pipelines, continuous validation systems, or data-driven risk monitoring solutions.
      • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on reducing operational complexity and improving security efficiency.
      • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
      • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is a plus.
      • Previous experience in cloud infrastructure, database platforms, developer tools, AI risk systems, or agent-based security solutions is advantageous.

          • $125,000 – $174,000 USD for US-based roles.
          • $157,000 – $205,000 USD for premium markets such as the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City Metro Area.
