This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, user understanding, and organizational design, shaping how financial products are built and improved for millions of users. You will lead high-impact generative and evaluative research across key product areas, uncovering deep user insights that directly influence roadmap decisions. Accountabilities:

    • Lead end-to-end product research initiatives across multiple domains, identifying the right problems to solve and uncovering meaningful user insights.
    • Influence product strategy and roadmap decisions by translating user needs, behaviors, and friction points into actionable opportunities.
    • Design and execute mixed-method research studies (interviews, usability testing, surveys, diary studies, journey mapping, etc.) with high rigor and speed.
    • Synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative inputs into clear narratives, frameworks, and recommendations that drive decision-making.
    • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Leadership to embed research into daily decision-making.
    • Build and scale research operations, including tooling, templates, participant recruitment systems, and knowledge-sharing practices.
    • Coach and mentor cross-functional partners on research thinking, evidence quality, and user-centered product development.
    • Explore and integrate responsible AI tools to improve research workflows, synthesis, and knowledge management.
    • Requirements:

      • Extensive experience in product research for consumer-facing digital products, ideally in complex or high-ambiguity environments.
      • Proven success operating at a senior or staff-level IC role, influencing product strategy across multiple teams or product areas.
      • Strong ability to frame ambiguous problems and select appropriate research methods based on decision context and constraints.
      • Deep expertise in qualitative research, with the ability to integrate quantitative data when relevant.
      • Strong synthesis skills, with the ability to turn raw data into clear, actionable strategic insights.
      • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, tailored to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
      • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and build trust across cross-functional teams.
      • Experience improving research systems, processes, and operational maturity in a scaling organization.
      • Strong balance of rigor, speed, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
      • Comfort using modern AI tools responsibly to accelerate research while maintaining high standards of quality and interpretation.
      • Experience in fintech, banking, payments, credit, or other trust-sensitive domains is a plus.
