Senior Director, Commercial Sales & Operations, Brand Outsourcing & HCP Engagement

Responsibilities
Commercial Leadership & Client Management
- Lead Commercial Sales Operations across a portfolio of international client accounts, ensuring effective and consistent delivery through International Project Directors and their teams.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for clients through governance meetings, performance reviews, business discussions, and escalation management.
- Build and maintain strong senior-level client relationships, positioning IQVIA as a strategic partner.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities within existing accounts in partnership with Business Development, Global Account Directors, Finance, and delivery teams.
- Ensure project teams translate client strategies into actionable operational plans, clear deliverables, and measurable sales and activity KPIs.
Operational Excellence
- Provide clear leadership, direction, and performance expectations for International Project Directors, International Project Managers, field leaders, and supporting operational teams.
- Ensure delivery of projects in accordance with sales targets, operational milestones, financial commitments, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks to monitor portfolio performance, risk management, financial performance, and strategic alignment.
- Leverage performance data, CRM reporting, client feedback, and governance outputs to identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure teams operate with strong commercial discipline, compliant ways of working, and appropriate legal and governance standards.
People Leadership
- Act as a strong leader, coach, and mentor to International Project Directors and senior operational leaders, fostering accountability, capability building, and succession planning.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention of leadership and field teams.
- Manage staff and managers in accordance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.
- Provide ongoing performance management, development opportunities, and employee relations support.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Commercial, Operations, Medical, Compliance, HR, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and Business Development teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Oversee third-party vendors and external partners supporting promotional delivery, ensuring performance aligns with contractual requirements and quality expectations.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with applicable regulatory, legal, and company requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Significant experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
- Experience in a senior commercial leadership role such as General Manager, Business Unit Lead, Head of Sales, Commercial Director, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 12 years of commercial sales, operations, client services, or delivery experience, including at least 10 years in people leadership roles.
- Proven track record of leading international commercial sales operations and large-scale client delivery programs across multiple markets.
- Demonstrated experience managing senior client relationships, governance structures, strategic account plans, and growth initiatives.
- Proven accountability for commercial performance, including achievement of sales objectives, KPI delivery, revenue forecasting, budget management, and margin optimization.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams, including project managers, field leaders, and operational teams.
Preferred
- Experience within a consulting, outsourcing, contract sales organization, or other professional services environment.
- Experience managing complex international client portfolios and multi-country delivery models.
