This role combines strong data expertise with hands-on data engineering skills, covering the full lifecycle: from data ingestion and processing, through data insights, to deployment within scalable AWS-based environments.

Your Role
Design and implement solutions for extracting, transforming and loading data in our cloud data platform
Design and implement data quality metrics, clean and organize raw and processed data
Implement data pipelines and data processing tools to meet the needs of our data science and analytics initiatives
Work with our perception, mapping, behavior and user monitoring experts to streamline and accelerate ML development for next gen systems
Integrate data sources and optimize data flow
Stay up to date with latest technical concepts, assess their potential and apply to improve our solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and domain experts
Document methodologies, assumptions, and outcomes clearly
Your Background
MSc degree + 4 years of relevant experience in Data Science, Robotics, Computer Science or Related
Proficiency in software development, data processing and analysis using Python (numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch/PyTorch Lightning)
Strong experience in building and operating CI/CD pipelines for ML (GitHub-based)
Strong experience in big data systems, in particular designing and implementing ETL pipelines
Hands on experience in preparing data for AI/ML model development
Experience in a second programming language like C++ or Rust
Experience with cloud services in and at least one of the cloud environments such as AWS, or Azure in a production setup (e.g. AWS Lambda, S3)
Experience in design, development, and optimalization of database solutions supporting ML workloads
Excellent problem solving, debugging skills and critical thinking mindset
Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts clearly
Fluent command in spoken and written English
Any of the following will be highly beneficial:
Deep knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure (e.g. EKS, IoT Core, Terraform)
Knowledge with MLOps tools (e.g. Airflow, MLflow) or workflow orchestration
Experience in robotic systems: perception, localization, planning, control
Knowledge of urban driving edge cases and sensor-heavy ML systems
Past experience with L2/L2+/L2++ ADAS or autonomous driving programs
Exposure to automotive standards, safety, or validation workflows (e.g., ISO 26262 awareness)
