Your Role
Gensler is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented PR Coordinator to support the execution of communications, public relations, thought leadership, and industry engagement initiatives that strengthen the firm's brand and reputation across Latin America and the Caribbean.
This role will work closely with the marketing and communications team to coordinate strategic partnerships, media relations, speaking engagements, events, social media initiatives, and thought leadership campaigns. The PR Coordinator will help ensure seamless coordination across internal teams and external partners while contributing to the visibility of Gensler's expertise, research, and impact across the built environment.
What You Will Do
Support the development and execution of public relations, communications, and thought leadership initiatives that strengthen Gensler's brand and visibility across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Coordinate media relations efforts by assisting with press outreach, media materials, interview logistics, and relationship management with journalists and industry publications.
Assist in the development and promotion of thought leadership initiatives, including speaking engagements, opinion articles, research launches, award submissions, and executive visibility opportunities.
Coordinate the planning and execution of client events, industry conferences, speaking engagements, and activations, ensuring seamless collaboration across internal teams and external partners.
Support the execution of pre-, during-, and post-event communications, including invitations, promotional campaigns, attendee communications, event collateral, social media content, and post-event follow-up.
Coordinate the execution of social media content across regional and local channels, working closely with practice area leaders, designers, and marketing teams to identify stories, develop content briefs, and support content production.
Support the creation and distribution of communications materials, including press materials, email campaigns, website content, social media copy, event collateral, and promotional assets.
Maintain and update communications calendars, ensuring the timely execution of PR initiatives, events, social media, speaking engagements, and key marketing activities.
Maintain stakeholder, media, and partner databases, ensuring accurate records and supporting audience engagement initiatives.
Track communications performance across media relations, social media, events, partnerships, and thought leadership initiatives, preparing regular reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with marketing, communications, research, leadership, and operational teams to ensure successful execution of initiatives.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve communications processes, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and enhance the visibility of Gensler's work across the region.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field.
Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) is required, as this role will interact with global teams and international partners.
Experience supporting events, industry partnerships, or marketing programs is preferred.
Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with social media platforms and content planning is preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with CRM or event management platforms is a plus.
Experience with design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, or other Adobe Creative Suite applications is a plus.
Interest in the architecture, design, real estate, or built environment industries is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
A proactive mindset and ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Curiosity about communications, media, design, and industry trends, with a desire to continuously learn and contribute new ideas.
