Accountabilities:
- Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle for skilled craft roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, onboarding coordination, and employment support activities.
- Recruit for specialized construction positions such as electricians, millwrights, turbine technicians, solar installers, and other renewable energy craft roles.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies using job boards, trade schools, apprenticeship programs, veteran transition programs, referrals, social media, and other talent channels.
- Build and maintain a strong network of qualified craft professionals to support current and future project staffing needs.
- Partner with project managers, site leaders, workforce planners, and HR teams to forecast labor requirements and align hiring strategies with project timelines.
- Coordinate candidate interviews, collect feedback, complete hiring documentation, and ensure a smooth candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Support workforce mobilization and onboarding activities during project ramp-ups, including coordination of pre-employment requirements, certifications, background checks, and screenings.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting data within applicant tracking systems and project management tools.
- Analyze recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, sourcing effectiveness, and workforce trends, to improve hiring strategies and outcomes.
- Identify labor market trends and adjust recruiting approaches to remain competitive in high-demand talent markets.
- Develop training materials, recruiting resources, and onboarding tools to support recruiter development and process consistency.
- Deliver coaching and training sessions focused on sourcing techniques, interviewing practices, candidate engagement, compliance, and recruiting technology.
- Mentor junior recruiters and recruiting coordinators while promoting best practices across the talent acquisition team.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify process improvements and enhance recruiting efficiency.
- Travel occasionally to support career fairs, hiring events, project onboarding, and workforce initiatives as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- 3–5+ years of recruiting experience, preferably within the construction, renewable energy, industrial, or skilled trades industries.
- Experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, candidate assessment, and offer negotiation.
- Experience recruiting skilled craft or technical talent in competitive labor markets.
- Strong sourcing abilities and experience building talent pipelines through multiple channels.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of workforce planning, recruiting operations, and candidate experience practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Strong prioritization, organization, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to adapt quickly, shift priorities, and perform effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail combined with a sense of urgency and accountability.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruiting technology; experience with iCIMS, UKG, and/or ServiceNow is a plus.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to interpret recruiting metrics and use data to improve hiring outcomes.
- Intermediate sourcing, interviewing, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally for recruiting events, career fairs, and project support.
