Market Sales Leader
This role is responsible for leading a dynamic sales territory and building a high-performing team of sales professionals who drive net-new business development. The Market Sales Leader serves as a strategic manager and coach, directly overseeing Sales Associate and Senior Sales Professional positions while maintaining personal involvement in key accounts and strategic opportunities. This role combines hands-on sales leadership with direct mentoring, pipeline management accountability, and annual business development planning.
The Market Sales Leader is responsible for recruiting, hiring, and onboarding a team that executes with discipline and rigor. This strategically important role focuses on establishing repeatable, process-driven prospecting and pipeline management systems that drive pipeline and sales growth across the territory while developing the next generation of sales talent.
We will count on you to:
Lead and coach Sales Associate and Senior Sales Professional team members to drive performance, skill development, and career growth.
Develop and execute annual business development plans, including territory analysis, target account strategies, campaign planning, and sales goals.

Oversee prospecting, demand generation, pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline to build a strong and predictable sales pipeline.
Support sales execution by engaging key accounts, leading proposal reviews, contributing to complex negotiations, and helping close important deals.
Hold the team accountable for revenue, pipeline, and activity goals while monitoring performance metrics and implementing corrective actions as needed.
What you need to have:
7–12+ years of experience in consultative or strategic sales.
At least 2–3 years of sales leadership, coaching, or management experience.
Proven ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams and drive net-new business growth.
Strong experience managing complex sales cycles, pipeline discipline, forecasting, and CRM rigor.
Demonstrated capability to coach, develop, and motivate team members to achieve results.

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $155,000 to $309,500.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
