Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for web and/or mobile applications under senior team members' guidance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and help identify test scenarios.
- Execute automated and manual tests, and help analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
- Support developers and product owners in reproducing and documenting software defects.
- Help maintain and improve existing test suites to support test coverage and efficiency.
- Assist in tracking and reporting on testing progress, including basic defect metrics.
- Stay curious about industry trends, emerging tools, and best practices in software testing and automation.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute ideas to improve testing processes.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies (manual and/or automated).
- Familiarity with programming fundamentals (any language) and willingness to learn testing frameworks/tools.
- Basic knowledge of Git or other version control systems is a plus.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum practices is a plus, not required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Eager to learn, proactive, and able to manage tasks independently.
- Interest in pursuing a career as a QA/Testing Engineer.
- ISTQB or similar certification is a plus, but not required.
