The Senior Manager, Strategic Execution – US Projects is accountable for ensuring the disciplined and predictable execution of assigned AI data center customer contracts in the US portfolio, with particular focus on schedule certainty, infrastructure readiness, commissioning milestones, and the transition to customer handover, including associated commercial implications. This role focuses on early identification of execution risk and intervenes proactively to mitigate material delivery, quality, commercial, or reputational impacts. The position operates in a cross-functional, enterprise-wide capacity and sits within the Strategic Contracts & Execution team.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering, Business, or Project Management preferred
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in complex, capital‑intensive environments (data centers, energy, infrastructure, oil & gas, construction, or similar)
- Experience in mission‑critical delivery environments (AI data centers preferred), with exposure to commissioning, utility coordination, and integrated systems testing (IST)
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects in contract‑driven, cross‑functional environments
- Strong understanding of contracts, commercial risk, and change management
- Advanced proficiency in MS Project and Microsoft Office tools
- High attention to detail, particularly in integrated planning, risk management, and execution reporting
- Proven ability to operate without direct line authority and influence senior stakeholders
- Strong judgement, discipline, and initiative, with comfort escalating issues early
- Comfortable engaging with technical concepts and complex systems, with the ability to quickly understand and apply new information in a dynamic delivery environment
- Enjoys working in a fast‑paced, high‑growth, globally distributed organization
- IREN operates across multiple countries and time zones; flexibility in work hours is required, along with periodic travel to site
Responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of assigned strategic contracts, ensuring clear scope, sequencing, dependencies, accountability, and early intervention when delivery becomes unpredictable
- Develop, maintain, and own integrated delivery plans, including detailed MS Project schedules and stage‑gated readiness criteria across construction/MEP, commissioning, IST, and handover
- Establish and maintain execution reporting (RAID, milestones, constraints, and delivery status) to provide early visibility of risks, decisions, and critical‑path exposure; drive a consistent review cadence (weekly lookahead, critical path, and recovery planning)
- Assess the impact of client‑initiated changes on timelines, cost, revenue, and contractual obligations
- Enforce delivery governance, including stage‑gate reviews, escalation pathways, clear decision ownership, and senior‑level decision escalation, ensuring delivery and commercial impacts are clearly articulated and understood before commitments are made
