Job DescriptionWe're looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Laboratory Technician to join our food and water testing team in Rolleston, New Zealand. In this role, you'll play a vital part in our microbiology laboratory operations, working with precision and care to prepare and analyze samples using standard analytical techniques. You'll contribute to our commitment to excellence while working in a supportive environment that values both accuracy and teamwork. If you're passionate about laboratory science and eager to grow your skills in a professional setting, we'd love to hear from you!Prepare and analyze laboratory samples using standard microbiological techniques in compliance with established protocols and standard operating proceduresAliquot, weigh, and process samples with meticulous attention to detail and accuracyRecord, calculate, and report analytical data and results to supervisors, ensuring transparency and precision in all documentationPerform routine glassware washing and maintain general housekeeping standards in your work area to support laboratory efficiencyApply Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) principles in all areas of responsibilityConduct all laboratory activities in a safe, efficient, and organized manner, adhering to health and safety protocolsCommunicate any unusual test occurrences or concerns to supervisors promptly and professionallyCollaborate with team members to meet deadlines and support laboratory goalsPerform additional duties as assigned to support team objectivesThis is a full-time role, 5 days a week on either a Sun-Thu or a Tue-Sat roster (according to laboratory requirements).
