An IT Trainee is an entry-level professional who supports the technology team in basic tasks related to development, technical support, or systems. They gain hands-on experience, contribute to projects, and develop technical and analytical skills under the supervision of the IT Manager.
As an IT intern, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day support of business systems, office systems, computer networks, and telephone systems throughout the hotel. Specifically, you will assist the IT Manager in performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Setting up PCs (desktops and laptops) from scratch
- Installing office software (Office, Outlook, and other software specific to the hospitality industry),
- Setting up printers. Installing local and network printers
- Servers: Administering file servers, key management servers, and other hotel-specific servers.
- Security: Checking for vulnerabilities in networked devices and resolving them.
- Remote PC administration (SCCM and RDP)
- Networks: (2 networks: Administrative network and guest Internet network) Manage data centers (DCs), IDFs, and switches. Monitor routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi
- Networks: Inspect fiber-optic cables, Ethernet cabling, install new cabling, etc.; patch cabling in racks, etc.
- Guest Internet lines, administrative network, ADSL connections, IPTV
- TV in the hotel, restaurant, and banquet halls: Manage and monitors
- Telephones: Manage the hotel’s main switchboard and telephone systems
- Mobile Phones: Replace and configure company mobile phones
- POS System: Set up terminals and printers for the hotel’s POS system
- IT Department Administration
- Warranties and maintenance
What we are looking for:
- Positive attitude
- Communication and organization skills
- Basic knowledge of Information Technology and familiarity with relevant tools and systems
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Intermediate level of English (B1-B2)
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Vocational Training in a related field
