Accountabilities:

    The VP, Equipment Regional Sales Manager will lead regional business development efforts by creating new opportunities, managing client relationships, and supporting successful equipment financing transactions from origination through funding. This role requires strong commercial judgment, relationship management, and collaboration across internal teams.

    • Develop and execute a regional business strategy to build a strong network of direct and intermediary relationships.
    • Identify, qualify, and originate equipment-based lending opportunities with prospective clients.
    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective borrowers.
    • Evaluate borrower financial and non-financial information to assess alignment with lending policies and target markets.
    • Guide prospective clients through financing solutions, credit approval processes, and transaction negotiations.
    • Structure and negotiate loan opportunities during the proposal and closing stages.
    • Support portfolio management activities, including reviewing delinquency reports and assisting with collection efforts.
    • Identify additional lending opportunities and collaborate with appropriate business units to support customer needs.
    • Represent the organization professionally within the assigned territory while strengthening brand reputation and customer trust.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate has a strong background in equipment finance, commercial lending, or a related financial services environment, with proven success in sales, relationship management, and transaction origination.

      • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
      • 5–7 years of experience in equipment finance or a similar industry.
      • Previous outside sales experience preferred.
      • Strong understanding of credit fundamentals within a banking or finance environment.
      • Demonstrated ability to generate and close transactions ranging from $1 million to $50 million.
      • Experience with direct client origination and managing complex financing relationships.
      • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
      • Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
      • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
      • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
