Job Description:
The Marketing Planning team partners with the business and marketing experts to shape integrated strategies that drive customer loyalty, business growth, and shareholder value. The team acts as a strategic advisor across marketing, product, and experience - helping influence business strategy, strengthen customer proof points, and ensure TD’s brand is protected and delivered through the customer experience.
The Marketing Manager, Integrated Marketing Planning supports Engagement and Lifecycle Management strategies for the RESL business, including Mortgages and HELOCs. This role leads complex engagement and retention initiatives that connect customer needs, product value, business priorities, and channel capabilities into integrated plans that drive loyalty and growth. The ideal candidate brings strategic product marketing discipline, strong cross-functional influence, and a passion for building customer experiences that are remarkably human and refreshingly simple.
Product marketing leadership: Translate customer needs, product benefits, market dynamics, and business priorities into clear positioning, value propositions, proof points, and go-to-market plans.
Influence product and experience roadmaps: Partner across Product, Digital, Channels, Analytics, and Marketing to define the capabilities, features, and experiences needed to deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.
Build customer-led proof points: Develop differentiated product, advice, and experience proof points that bring TD’s brand promise to life in ways customers can feel.
Marketing strategies and plans: Understand market, customer, and growth drivers; shape a clear retention vision; and translate business priorities into integrated marketing plans, value propositions, and proof points that strengthen RESL’s competitive advantage.
Influence omni-channel journeys: Lead the strategic development of customer journeys that drive engagement, retention, and loyalty leveraging marketing automation, owned channels, and lifecycle triggers to deepen customer relationships.
Data-driven segmentation strategy: Partner with SMEs to identify customer opportunities across the product lifecycle and deliver the right message, offer, advice, or experience at the right time.
Advance MarTech and lifecycle capability: Build knowledge of lifecycle marketing capabilities, tools, and trends, and influence the roadmap required to deliver more personalized, connected mortgage experiences.
Deliver and monitor results: Deliver initiatives on plan, measure business and customer outcomes, evaluate in-market performance, and use results to optimize ROI and inform future product, experience, and capability priorities.
Consumer insights and trends: Apply customer, market, competitive, and product insights to identify opportunities, sharpen positioning, and define the proof points that matter most to customers.
Build and protect the brand: Ensure marketing, product messaging, and customer experiences support TD’s brand promise and deliver experiences that are remarkably human and refreshingly simple.
Analysis and problem solving: Define the business or customer problem to solve, gather data across teams, translate insights into recommendations, and drive action with strong judgment and strategic clarity.
Influencing and relationship management: Build trusted relationships with Product, Digital, Analytics, Delivery, Business Units, Legal, Compliance, and Marketing partners to align priorities and deliver effective programs.
Job Requirements
Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required.
Over 7 years of relevant marketing experience, with strong experience building full-funnel strategies across 1:1 owned channels, CRM, customer lifecycle, and retention marketing.
Experience leading product marketing strategy in a complex, customer-led, regulated, or financial services environment.
Ability to translate product strategy, customer pain points, competitive dynamics, and business priorities into compelling positioning, value propositions, proof points, and go-to-market plans.
Experience influencing product, digital, channel, and capability roadmaps to improve customer experience and deliver measurable marketing impact.
Experience with MarTech, CRM, customer lifecycle, retention marketing, digital experience strategy, and execution is ideal.
Advanced knowledge of marketing strategy, consulting principles, supported lines of business, product/customer markets, and the levers that drive measurable business results.
Innovative, customer-obsessed mindset with strong financial acumen and the ability to advocate for better advice, product value, and customer experience.
Self-motivated with strong organizational, communication, and prioritization skills; able to influence and deliver in both collaborative and independent settings.
Strong relationship management skills with experience working across agencies, business partners, product teams, channel owners, and internal marketing partners.
Strong project and budget management skills, with the ability to deliver initiatives on time, on target, and on budget while coordinating multi-functional teams and agency partners.
