Modality - 12 Months Contract
Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh
Function: Procurement (Supply Chain)
Contract Duration: 12 Months (with potential for permanent employment based on performance)
Role Purpose
Support the procurement and supply assurance of packaging materials, with a primary focus on Rigid Packaging, Tubes, and CAPEX-related procurement activities. The role will ensure material availability, supplier performance, cost optimization, and execution of innovation projects while working closely with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Manage sourcing and procurement activities for rigid and tube packaging materials to ensure uninterrupted supply.
Support demand forecasting, volume planning, and supplier capacity alignment based on business requirements.
Drive supplier negotiations and cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and service standards.
Identify and develop alternative suppliers and support onboarding of new vendors to strengthen supply resilience.
Coordinate packaging innovation and renovation projects, including supplier engagement, sample validation, and trial execution.
Monitor supplier performance, resolve supply and quality issues, and support RCA/CAPA implementation where required.
Manage procurement governance activities, including contracts, commercial documentation, compliance, and audit support.
Collaborate with Planning, Manufacturing, R&D, Finance, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of business priorities.
Support CAPEX procurement activities, including supplier engagement, sourcing, and project coordination.
Contribute to inventory optimization, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the packaging supply chain.
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline, ideally from top-tier engineering schools across Bangladesh.
4–5 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Packaging or Sourcing roles. Additional benefit will be given to a talent who also has a manufacturing stint completed.
Prior experience in packaging procurement, particularly rigid packaging and tubes, is preferred.
Exposure to CAPEX procurement and project-based sourcing activities is highly desirable.
Strong analytical, negotiation, stakeholder management, and supplier relationship management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement/planning systems.
