This position will be in Palmdale, CA, where technology and teamwork come together.The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Tooling organization, working collaboratively while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and manage the daily production availability of all automated equipment.   Responsible for the performance, status, sustainment, and continuous improvement of both equipment and processes. Lead and manage a team of engineers responsible for a wide range of automated production processes such as drilling robots, painting robots, automated guided vehicles, and various automated technologies.  Establish and sustain the maximum availability of production automation through planned maintenance, optimization, and event recovery.  Organize a broad range of specialized training for engineering and production operation personnel.   Use advanced programming and analysis tools to maintain the Automation organizations body of knowledge, establish role and responsibility requirements, recognize strengths and opportunities in employee competency, and foster team development events.  Determine proper staffing requirements, resource assignments, and sustain a staff of individuals to ensure our charter and customers goals are realized.  We offer flexible work arrangements, 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment.
