Trust Payments has an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager to join their team.

Location: Hybrid – Birkirkaa, Malta

How will you make an impact in this role?
The Role:

You will manage relationships with ISOs, Referral Partners, and direct merchants, serving as their dedicated point of contact. The Associate Account Manager builds trusted relationships and acts as the interface between the partner or merchant and Trust Payments.
In this role, you will maintain client relationships, coordinate internal teams, and contribute to the growth and performance of assigned accounts. You will also collaborate with Senior Account Managers and Senior Sales Managers on day-to-day relationship management, gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of account management within the payments industry.


What We Expect of You, Day To Day:
  • Collaborate with Senior Account Managers and Sales Managers on day-to-day account management tasks
  • Effectively prioritise tasks, managing urgent requests while setting clear expectations with clients and internal teams
  • Arrange, prepare and conduct regular business reviews with partners and merchants to assess performance, identify growth opportunities and ensure alignment with their strategic objectives
  • Develop and maintain account plans for key clients, outlining growth strategies, risk mitigation and relationship development
  • Work closely with internal teams (Technical Support, Implementation, Finance, Compliance, Risk, etc.) to ensure seamless service delivery and swift resolution of client issues — promoting a collaborative, client-first mindset
  • Proactively analyse data and performance metrics to identify trends, flag issues and improve account health
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and reporting to senior management
  • Provide accurate forecasting and prepare performance reports, business cases and proposals for key internal and external stakeholders
  • Work towards quarterly individual and team targets, consistently meeting and exceeding goals

Qualifications:
  • Experience
    • Experience in sales, support or account management within payments or acquiring is preferable; however, a clear ability and willingness to learn quickly is equally valued
    • Experience in a B2B environment, ideally with exposure to senior stakeholders, is advantageous

    • A collaborative team player who performs well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Ability to work calmly under pressure, managing competing priorities without compromising quality
    • Results-oriented, with a proactive approach to relationship management
    • Strong analytical mindset — able to interpret data and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Client Focus
    • A clear commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience and building strong, lasting relationships — internally and externally
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at a working level, with a willingness to develop further
    • Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce and Zendesk, with a consistent approach to maintaining accurate client records
  • Communication
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Fluency in additional European languages is desirable, particularly Bulgarian and Romanian
  • Location & Travel
    • The role is based in the Malta office; hybrid working arrangements will be discussed following the probationary period
    • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as required
