WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Join a high growth R&D Engineering team that is passionate about growth and development within our High-Density Power Distribution Unit.
- Build product designs and documentation for new and existing products by providing accurate layouts, screens, Interface designing, and User Experience. Work will include projects with significant scope and/or complexity and minimal direction from engineers and supervisor.
- Capture and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with Product Manager and Engineers
- Design wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user flows.
- Compose and refine UI Elements such as menus, tabs, buttons, widgets, and navigation components.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback analysis to identify and solve UX issues.
- Collaborate with developers and interested parties to ensure design quality and implementation accuracy.
- Handle both small and some parts of large-scale projects independently.
- Direct and assist with the build of components and assemblies for prototypes and pilot builds
- Take part in the 3D process including Gate Reviews.
- Participate in Lean activities as requested
- Assist in the development of engineering, drafting, and release standards
- Participate in the product development process, including design brainstorming and voice of customer activity
- Perform research and investigation to acquire missing information to ensure all specifications are accurately presented on documentation
- Provide technical expertise in embedded graphics library and use of essential design programs such as Figma, Adobe, Canva, Square Line, Git, Visual Studio IDE.
YOU HAVE:
- Two-year technical degree preferably in drafting or design
- Experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design, interaction design, and visual design principles.
- Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and work multi-functionally
- Experience with usability testing, information architecture, and iterative design.
- Proficiency in software programming for crafting, assisting, and directing UI and UX frames.
