Role Summary

Support and optimize semiconductor manufacturing equipment in a cleanroom environment. Troubleshoot technical issues, minimize downtime, and improve tool performance through maintenance, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues to maximize uptime and reliability

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions

  • Develop and improve preventative maintenance procedures and schedules

  • Partner with technicians, production, and engineering teams to optimize operations

  • Track equipment performance, analyze faults (SPC/Pareto), and drive continuous improvement

  • Support tool installs, upgrades, and qualifications

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

  • Work safely with chemicals, gases, and cleanroom protocols

Additional Responsibilities

  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Communicate with operators and technicians to identify performance gaps

  • Support process experiments and new test methods

  • Promote a strong safety-first culture

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field

  • Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical, electrical, or systems)

  • Ability to read schematics and apply statistical process control (SPC)

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment with required PPE and physical demands (standing, lifting, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in semiconductor or cleanroom manufacturing

  • Knowledge of robotics, vacuum, pneumatic, or PLC systems

  • Programming experience (e.g., Python, Visual Basic)

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and data analysis skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Reduced downtime through proactive maintenance and root cause fixes

  • Strong collaboration across manufacturing teams

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $64,000 to $88,000.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.

  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
