Accountabilities

    • Supervise the monthly and annual close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP standards.
    • Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
    • Oversee preparation and review of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
    • Support lender reporting, debt covenant compliance, and external audit requirements.
    • Assist with tax filings by preparing reconciliations, schedules, and required financial documentation.
    • Contribute to acquisition accounting activities related to mergers and acquisitions.
    • Lead, supervise, and mentor staff accountants, providing coaching, feedback, and performance oversight.
    • Drive process improvements and support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.
    • Requirements

      • 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within corporate accounting or public accounting environments.
      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
      • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
      • Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, accrual accounting, and fixed asset management.
      • Prior exposure to insurance or MGA environments is a strong advantage.
      • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and explain financial concepts clearly.
      • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
      • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
