Accountabilities:
- Lead and execute business development strategies to identify, qualify, and capture new federal, defense, and commercial contracting opportunities.
- Leverage an extensive professional network across CONUS, OCONUS, military, and federal agencies to generate and convert high-value leads.
- Drive pipeline growth by sourcing new business, expanding existing accounts, and supporting long-term contract performance objectives.
- Develop and manage capture strategies, proposals, and sales plans aligned with organizational growth targets.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with government stakeholders, contracting officers, and commercial partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align business development activities with operational capabilities and delivery expectations.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to strengthen market presence and brand visibility.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and procurement opportunities to inform strategic positioning and growth initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required; MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in sales, business development, or capture management, including at least 5 years in federal government contracting.
- Proven success working with or selling into U.S. federal agencies, defense, or related regulated contracting environments.
- Strong experience with 8(a), IDIQ, or other federal contracting vehicles highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build and leverage senior-level networks to generate and close strategic opportunities.
- Strong understanding of complex sales cycles, capture planning, and government procurement processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with executive-level stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams) and CRM systems.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required for client engagement, conferences, and business development activities.
- Competitive annual salary range of $140,000 to $180,000.
