You will be responsible for reviewing contracts, supporting transaction teams, and ensuring all required documentation meets provincial regulatory standards. Acting as a key compliance expert, you will guide agents through complex transaction issues while reinforcing best practices in risk management and brokerage procedures. Accountabilities:
- Review real estate contracts to ensure full compliance with provincial laws, regulatory requirements, and brokerage standards.
- Support transaction analysts and agents by identifying missing documentation and ensuring complete, audit-ready files.
- Provide guidance and resolution support on complex transaction and contract-related issues.
- Conduct contract and compliance training to improve agent understanding of legal obligations, risk management, and brokerage procedures.
- Act as a subject matter expert in real estate compliance, ensuring consistent application of policies and best practices.
- Support managing broker functions as needed, including branch oversight and operational coverage.
- Maintain final archiving of transaction files and ensure proper documentation standards are met.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve workflows, compliance systems, and risk management processes.
- Active real estate broker license in Alberta (or equivalent provincial licensing with eligibility to practice in Canada).
- Strong experience in real estate brokerage operations, with deep knowledge of contracts, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven track record of managing or supporting a small to mid-sized brokerage with a strong focus on compliance and transactions.
- Strong understanding of provincial and federal real estate laws, MLS rules, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience using tools such as Skyslope, Webforms, CRM systems, and digital transaction platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to advise and train agents at different experience levels.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to make sound compliance decisions quickly.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation management abilities.
- Comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced, digital-first brokerage environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, service-oriented approach.
