Behavioral Health Clinician - LCSW, LPC, Ph.D. - Part Time- 22.5 hours per week - Florham Park, NJ

Provide evidence-based behavioral health assessment and treatment services for adults with behavioral health conditions and co-occurring medical concerns, including CBT-I, bariatric psychological evaluations, and behavioral interventions that support overall health and wellness. Provide short-term psychotherapeutic services with medically complex patients

  1. Conduct initial biopsychosocial assessments for adult patients seeking behavioral health services to determine need for treatment of behavioral issues.
  2. Complete, administer, score and interpret evidenced based screening tools and assessments.
  3. Assess and treatment patients co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions, including adjustments to chronic illness, insomnia, weight related concerns and perinatal or postpartum mental health conditions.   
  4. Deliver evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, with specialized expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).
  5. Conduct pre-bariatric surgery psychological evaluations and provide behavioral health support for patients undergoing medical weight management and bariatric treatment.
  6. Collaborate with other medical and mental health professionals to coordinate care.
  7. Complete required documentation and charting of patient encounters in a timely manner.
  8. Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  9. Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current on best practices in the field of behavioral health.
  10. Meets with supervisor for clinical supervision, participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care, concerns and planning.
  11. Advocate for patients and assist them in accessing community resources.
  12. Completes all mandatory trainings and competencies as assigned.
  1. Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field 
  2. NJ State licensure required (e.g., LCSW, LPC, Ph.D.) or license-eligible with active supervision.
  3. Experience providing psychotherapy services in outpatient behavioral health, integrated behavioral health, or medical settings preferred.
  4. Training and/or experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); CBT-I training preferred.
  5. Experience conducting bariatric psychological evaluations preferred.
  6. Experience working with medically complex patients or patients with chronic medical conditions preferred.
  7. Bilingual skills a plus.

  3. Maintains clear, timely and accurate clinical notes that meet legal and departmental standards, manages caseload effectively.
  4. Upholds professional ethical standards, maintains appropriate boundaries and therapeutic relationships.
