How you’ll make an impact in this role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Hospitalist to join an employed, full-time daytime position within a well-respected practice at Ascension Franklin Hospital.
- Join an Established Team: Collaborate within a balanced daytime environment featuring 3 daytime rounders and 1 overnight Nocturnist, ensuring seamless transition and clear peer communication.
- Practice Setting: Dedicated inpatient rounding with a highly manageable daily workflow averaging 13–17 encounters (including starting census plus admissions).
- Clinical Environment: Experience clinical depth in an open ICU setting with the opportunity to perform minor procedures, supported by the extensive subspecialty resources of the broader network.
- Optimal Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a highly predictable and sustainable 7-on/7-off daytime schedule, requiring only 176 shifts annually to maintain full-time status.
- Board Certification: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Licensure: Eligible for an unrestricted Wisconsin state medical license and DEA registration.
- Lead Comprehensive Care: Evaluate and treat inpatient cases with advanced diagnostic and clinical skills, acting as the primary attending or consulting physician to stabilize and heal acute panels.
- Champion Quality & Value: Partner with the medical staff to improve cost-effectiveness and patient safety, directly impacting clinical outcomes while maximizing your performance incentives.

What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
