About the role

The Operations team sits at the heart of all the action and works tirelessly in the background to ensure that customers’ hard-earned money arrives seamlessly to their loved ones, fast. Our goal is to identify and solve key customer pain-points to enhance the customer experience. We support the Customer Service team by communicating with our external partners, deal with escalations and action more complex tasks that aim to solve problems before they become an issue for customers.

We are looking to build the Operations team in Cebu and are looking for people who are proactive, detail-focused and practice open communication to tackle problems that impact thousands of customers and recipients daily.

As a member of Zepz’s Payments team you will aim high, embrace challenges and always do what’s right; acting with integrity and building trust as you contribute to the company’s technical direction and long term decision making.


Reporting to the Team Manager, Payment Operations you will:

Oversee the handling of escalations in relation to transaction management, partner payout performance and many other customer issues. When there’s a problem, you’re there to solve it. This means:

  • Lots of digging around to understand the problem.

  • Tons of communication both internally with Customer Service and the Operations teams , as well as with our external partners.

  • Spot trends and anticipate if it’s a one-off issue or part of a bigger problem.

  • Help make our processes better.


What we are looking for from you
  • College or Bachelor’s degree (Finance or Business-related course is a plus)

  • Results driven and can get things done.

  • Proactive and requires little oversight.

  • Willing to learn and gets a thrill out of solving problems (knowing HOW and WHY things work a certain way).

  • Loves getting into the details and can extract data to communicate information effectively.

  • Solves problems with a methodical and systematic approach

  • Strong organizational skills that can keep up with ETA’s and timelines.

  • Can work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Tech savvy and is familiar or can be easily trained using Google Workspace and applications.

  • Basic to intermediate Excel and other MS Office skills.

  • An outgoing person and can build professional relationships easily.

  • Fluent in written & spoken English with excellent communication skills.

  • You are able to work in rotating shifts.


Please note:
  • This is an onsite role located in Cebu, Philippines

  • The successful candidate will be working 5 days a week.
