SUPO, where required)Why this role matters:As a Staff Product Designer, you will be embedded in ICEYE’s engineering domain responsible for customer-facing systems and interfaces, including APIs and UIs. You will take end-to-end ownership of UX across all products in our domain. Today, that includes four customer-facing web products used by professional users in demanding, real-world environments.This is a senior, high-impact role. You won’t just design interfaces, you will shape what we ship, how it works for customers, and how UX contributes to customer and business outcomes. Working closely with Product Management, Engineering, and customers, you will make thoughtful trade-offs and turn complex problems into usable, valuable solutions.You’ll have the opportunity to define and elevate UX across multiple critical customer products, influence how we build software, and work closely with customers solving meaningful problems. We have more than 900 employees, united by a shared vision: improving life on Earth by becoming the global source of truth in Earth Observation.Your day-to-day responsibilities:Own the end-to-end UX across multiple web products, ensuring a coherent, high-quality user experience across the domain and alignment with the ICEYE brandDevelop a deep understanding of user needs, workflows, and real-world constraints through customer research, user interviews, and direct customer meetings, including travel when requiredTranslate business and user needs into clear user journeys, mental models, prototypes, and product direction, creating testable hypotheses and usable solutions that solve real problemsStay accountable for outcomes, not just design artifacts, by partnering closely with Product Management and Engineering to make pragmatic trade-offs across usability, technical constraints, delivery speed, and long-term maintainabilityApply a hands-on, pragmatic approach to design systems, and use LLMs, modern AI tools, prototyping, and frontend experimentation when they help validate ideas or improve shipped UICollaborate across a large, networked organization with designers in other domains, marketing design, sales, and customers to drive alignment and consistencyWhat we’re looking forMust haves:Deep command of design foundations, including layout systems, typography, color, and visual hierarchy, with the...
