Accountabilities:
- Take end-to-end ownership of designing, developing, and delivering new SDK features focused on improving reliability and developer experience.
- Build and evolve Nexus interfaces across multiple SDKs, enabling developers to compose, invoke, and integrate durable workflows effectively.
- Design runtime behaviors that allow applications to execute reliably, manage durable state transitions, and coordinate seamlessly with backend systems.
- Develop language-specific integrations that leverage the strengths of different programming languages, type systems, and runtime environments.
- Create foundational capabilities supporting emerging application patterns, including advanced workflow execution, asynchronous processing, and AI-driven systems.
- Collaborate closely with SDK engineers, open-source contributors, and internal teams to deliver consistent experiences across programming ecosystems.
- Engage directly with the developer community to troubleshoot complex technical issues, gather feedback, and improve SDK functionality.
- Write clear, publicly accessible technical documentation explaining concepts, APIs, and best practices.
- Contribute to open-source software development by creating maintainable, well-tested, and production-ready code.
- Participate in team collaboration activities, including occasional in-person events and engineering discussions.
- 7+ years of experience building production software, particularly highly scalable distributed systems.
- Strong computer science fundamentals with deep knowledge of distributed systems, concurrency, multithreading, and reliable application design.
- Advanced programming experience in languages such as Go, Java, Python, TypeScript, .NET, Rust, Ruby, or similar technologies.
- Strong expertise in at least two programming languages among Python, TypeScript, .NET, Ruby, and Rust.
- Experience designing APIs, SDK libraries, developer platforms, or open-source software systems.
- Proven ability to build reliable, well-tested systems with a focus on quality and maintainability.
- Strong understanding of programming language runtimes, application execution models, and developer tooling.
- Ability to solve complex technical challenges independently while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
- Excellent written communication skills with experience creating technical documentation and engaging with developer communities.
- Passion for improving developer experiences and building tools that enable engineers to create better software.
- Competitive compensation range of $176,000 - $237,000 USD, depending on experience, location, and qualifications.
