This role requires comprehensive expertise in Canadian, U.S., and UK import compliance, alongside the ability to generate accurate export documentation as required. Success in this position is driven by ensuring timely deliveries of goods via express and road carriers.The Outbound Logistics Specialist leverages comprehensive knowledge of international trade to manage complex global shipping operations. This role requires an uncompromising eye for meticulous documentation and proactive carrier management, including occasional after-hours intervention to resolve critical transit issues.Main Responsibilities:● Manage daily outbound ground (USA) and air (UK) transport from DCs to retail stores and E-commerce markets, including carrier coordination and critical after-hours shipments;● Ensure international trade compliance by managing cross-border documentation, basic customs regulations (valuation, origin, FTAs), and carrier portal HTS tariff classifications;● Coordinate end-to-end logistics for North American and UK store openings, renovations, closures, wholesale orders, and 3PL-managed reverse logistics;● Audit freight billing and system configurations by sourcing ad hoc cartage, verifying freight bills, and aligning WMS configurations with business needs;● Monitor performance and resolve transit issues by tracking KPIs, filing carrier claims for lost parcels/SLA breaches, and alerting internal stakeholders of disruptions;● Drive continuous supply chain improvement by partnering with DCs and internal teams (Customer Service, Stores, IT) to optimize logistics workflows;● Secure seasonal carrier capacity through volume forecasting and proactive relationship management during peak shipping periods;● Identify cost-saving opportunities by eliminating transit inefficiencies and negotiating competitive ad hoc spot rates.Qualifications:● DEC or AEC in Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline;● At least 5 years of experience in transportation, parcel, or bulk cargo dispatch, including direct interaction with customs brokers;● Completion of a CIFFA certification or equivalent international freight forwarding credentials (considered a strong asset);● Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Windows and the standard Office Suite;● Hands-on experience with Oracle Retail Management System and Manhattan Scale WMS (considered a strong asset);● Deep working knowledge of world geography and international import/export documentation...
