Location: Monroeville, PA
Schedule: Full Time | 4 Ten Hour Shifts | Varying Start Times; typically between 7:30am & 10:00am | Rotating Weekends & Holidays | Occasional Overnights As Needed
Compensation: $30/hr, Depending On Experience and Credentials | Applicable Shift Differentials + $4/hr for hours worked between 7pm & 7am, Weekend Differentials + $2.50/hr - Differentials Do Not Stack

In Your Day-To-Day, You Will:
- Daily use of Radiologic imaging such as X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, MRI and CT.
- Performs X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, MRI, and CT scans with proper technical factors.
- In partnership with the Veterinary Technicians, assists with positioning of patients to ensure appropriate images are captured.
- Trains staff to form standard expectations with all patient imaging, and creates or reviews imaging protocols.
- Works independently or under the guidance of the clinician to modify scan techniques for optimal image quality.
- Troubleshoots image quality issues while performing X-Ray, MRI, and CT.
- Performs routine X-Ray, MRI, Fluoroscopy, and CT quality assurance and reports any concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintains a clean and safe environment and adhere to appropriate restricted access.
- In partnership with the Hospital Manager and service vendors, troubleshoots technology issues with scanners/equipment when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
1 year ultrasound experience with nontraditional and adaptive scanning preferred.
Veterinary experience preferred but not required.
Able to interact and communicate professionally between multiple departments.
Able to interact with clients in a manner that supports Avets mission statement.
Remain calm and efficient in a high stress environment.
Pursue continuing education opportunities, both independently and those provided by Avets.
Willingness to cross-train in other areas of the hospital (i.e. CT and MRI equipment)
- Schedule will include a portion of the weekend and holiday shifts required by hospital patient load.
