Job Summary**

The ME CNC Jr Engineer III at Jabil, Inc. will support the design, development, and optimization of CNC machining processes. This role involves assisting senior engineers with programming, tooling selection, and process validation to ensure efficient and high-quality manufacturing of precision components.

Job Responsibilities**

* Assist in the development and implementation of CNC programs (G-code, M-code) for various machining operations (milling, turning, grinding) using CAD/CAM software.
* Support the selection and optimization of cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding devices to improve machining efficiency and product quality.
* Conduct process capability studies and statistical analysis to identify and resolve manufacturing issues and ensure process stability.
* Collaborate with design engineers to review component designs for manufacturability and provide input on design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.
* Participate in the troubleshooting and resolution of CNC machine problems, including mechanical, electrical, and programming issues.
* Document and maintain process specifications, work instructions, and engineering change orders (ECOs).
* Perform preventative maintenance and calibration checks on CNC machinery as required.
* Support new product introductions (NPIs) by assisting with process development, prototyping, and pilot production runs.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) within the manufacturing environment.
* Provide technical support to production operators and manufacturing technicians.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
* 1-3 years of experience in CNC machining, programming, or manufacturing engineering in a high-volume production environment.
* Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam, Fusion 360).
* Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming.
* Knowledge of various machining processes, cutting tools, and materials.
* Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA).
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
