Our Network Operations team works around the clock running United’s global operation, safely, reliably and efficiently. From dispatching and routing our fleet to coordinating with maintenance line planning and crew scheduling, this team makes caring connections with our internal customers and ultimately, United’s customers. From pushback to landing, the Network Operations team is the eyes and ears on the ground no matter where in the world your United flight takes you.

Job overview and responsibilities

The Future Network & Station Operations team is responsible for shaping the future of station and network by designing scalable, data-driven solutions that enable more proactive, efficient, and informed decision-making. The team focuses on standardizing and automating information flows, building decision-support capabilities, and optimizing operational workflows to reduce complexity and manual effort across the operation. The team is working hand-in-hand to address emerging business needs and activate the future state of the customer reaccommodation function using process, roles, and technology.

The team partners with operational stakeholders to identify systemic opportunities, define high-impact problems, and develop integrated solutions that drive sustained enterprise-wide efficiency, scalability, and improved customer outcomes. This includes translating business needs into structured logic, frameworks, and tooling that elevate decision quality and enable operations to manage by exception.

 The Senior Analyst – Future Network & Station Operations position plays a critical role in advancing strategic transformation initiatives across operational teams, focused on customer reaccommodation workflows. This role focuses on improving how decisions are made, how workflows are structured, and how processes are designed end-to-end to maximize efficiency and scalability. This position emphasizes proactive problem solving, process optimization, and value creation, shifting away from reactive, day-to-day issue resolution and toward enabling long-term operational improvements.

  • Design and deliver decision-support frameworks, tools, and insights that enable operational stakeholders to make faster, more consistent, and data-informed decisions
  • Translate complex operational data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations tied to business resource outcomes, like operational efficiency, customer impact, and cost
  • Translate functional vision into capability design – process, roles, and technology together
  • Build and maintain process maps, decision trees, and logic frameworks that define standardization across work groups
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to redesign processes for exception-based workflows, minimizing manual intervention and maximizing automation
  • Collaborate with product, technology, and analytics teams to translate business needs into scalable tools, automation logic, and reporting capabilities
  • Develop executive-level presentations and materials that clearly articulate strategic insights, recommendations, and progress against objectives

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

 

  • Bachelor's degree or related experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of airport and network operations 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Ability to work with cross functional groups- strong relationship building skills 
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and presentation skills 
  • Highly organized, and the ability to multi-task competing priorities
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

 

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

 

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on airline management, aviation or industrial engineering
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in management or operations.
  • Airline, process engineering, quantitative and qualitative analysis preferred
  • Experience with process/system mapping and analysis 
  • Project management experience
  • Experience using at least one database management system
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience with process/system mapping and analysis
     

The base pay range for this role is $81,795.00 to $106,602.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
