Team Leader Health Services (LPN)

Reporting to the Environmental Health & Safety Manager, you will lead the Occupational Health Services function by managing, scheduling, training, coaching, and supporting occupational health nurses while promoting a safe and healthy work environment onsite in Marshall, Missouri. You will oversee workplace health programs, injury management, regulatory compliance, employee wellness initiatives, and workers’ compensation administration. In partnership with Environmental Health & Safety, Human Resources, Operations, and plant leadership, you will ensure employees receive timely medical care, support safe return-to-work practices, and maintain compliance with applicable health and safety requirements.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

  • Lead, schedule, train, coach, and evaluate occupational health nurses.

  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health Services policies, procedures, medical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide and oversee onsite occupational health services, including assessment, triage, treatment, first aid, follow-up care, and administration of medications under physician standing orders.

  • Coordinate health assessments, respirator and hazardous materials surveillance, drug and alcohol testing, audiometric testing, and other required medical evaluations.

  • Manage injury and illness cases, including return-to-work programs, modified duty assignments, case documentation, and coordination of medical treatment.

  • Maintain accurate, confidential employee medical records and reporting systems in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration, state, company, and legal requirements.

  • Partner with Environmental Health & Safety to support health and safety initiatives, wellness programs, occupational health objectives, and workplace health strategies.

  • Collaborate with Operations, Human Resources, and plant leadership on incident investigations, audits, inspections, corrective actions, and restricted-duty compliance.

  • Assist with the administration, tracking, and documentation of workers’ compensation cases.

  • Communicate injury and illness information to medical case management partners and third-party administrators and assist with workers’ compensation administration.

  • Recommend preventive and corrective measures to support a safer workplace.

  • Order and maintain inventories of personal protective equipment and occupational health supplies.

  • Assist in the administration of the facility’s safety benefit programs, including the boot program and prescription safety eyewear program.

  • Deliver health, wellness, injury prevention, and safety-related training.

  • Perform Occupational Safety and Health Administration recordkeeping and reporting activities; prepare reports, analyze occupational health data, and maintain injury and illness records.

Ingredients Required for Your Success

  • Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of employment and completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.

  • Three years of nursing experience; occupational health, industrial nursing, manufacturing, food manufacturing, or related experience preferred.

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid Instructor certification, or completion upon hire.

  • Experience supporting workers’ compensation, return-to-work programs, and employee health initiatives.

  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Experience handling confidential medical and employee information with discretion.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Intelex.

  • Experience with electronic medical, occupational health, or safety management systems.

  • Knowledge of occupational health regulations, medical protocols, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration recordkeeping requirements preferred.

  • Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring nursing or clinical staff preferred.

You may be required to walk around the facility, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, or perform repetitive tasks that require hand-eye coordination. You may be required to lift or carry materials that can vary in weight and size. This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.

Compensation 

Pay Range:$64,000-$95,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
