What you will do:
As a Company Nurse / Occupational Health Nurse, you will lead the development and continuous improvement of occupational health and safety programs, conduct risk assessments (including ergonomics and exposure monitoring), and perform regular site inspections to ensure compliance and safe working conditions. You will provide first aid and emergency care, and manage occupational injury and illness cases end-to-end—from reporting and documentation to medical follow-up, physician coordination, and return-to-work—ensuring accurate and complete monitoring records at all times.
You will drive preventive health and wellness initiatives such as health screenings, vaccination programs, and lifestyle campaigns, while identifying and closely monitoring high-risk employees for timely intervention. You will maintain confidential and compliant medical records, establish structured health monitoring systems, and prepare required reports in line with DOLE OSH and regulatory standards.
Additionally, you will coordinate with company physicians and HMO providers, assist employees in accessing healthcare services, and facilitate medical clearances for new hires and existing employees. You will support emergency preparedness by ensuring readiness of first aid resources, participating in drills, and maintaining medical supplies inventory.
You will analyze health data trends, provide actionable insights to management, and communicate health updates to stakeholders. You will also manage healthcare vendors, promote ergonomics and workplace health practices, and perform other duties as assigned in support of a safe, healthy, and Zero Harm work environment.
How will you do it:
1. Occupational Health & Safety Programs
Develop, implement, and continuously improve occupational health and safety programs and policies.
Conduct health risk assessments, including exposure monitoring (ergonomics, chemical, noise, and biological hazards).
Provide recommendations to improve workplace conditions affecting employee health and well-being.
Conduct regular site visits to offices, warehouses, and branches to ensure compliance with safety and health standards.
2. Clinical Care & Occupational Case Management
Provide first aid, emergency treatment, and nursing care to injured or ill employees.
Manage occupational injuries and illnesses end-to-end, including:
Incident reporting and documentation
Medical follow-up and case monitoring
Coordination with physicians
Return-to-work programs
Ensure proper monitoring documentation is maintained for all cases, including progress notes, treatment records, and follow-up status.
Refer employees to external physicians or specialists when necessary.
3. Preventive Health & Wellness Programs
Design and implement employee wellness programs, including:
Healthy lifestyle promotion
Nutrition and wellness campaigns
Vaccination drives (e.g., flu, dengue)
Conduct regular health assessments and screenings.
Identify and monitor high-risk employees to ensure timely intervention and support.
4. Health Records, Compliance & Reporting
Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential medical records of all employee health data.
Ensure proper monitoring documentation of employee health conditions, medical cases, and program participation, ensuring traceability and continuity of care.
Establish and maintain a systematic health monitoring and documentation process for:
Occupational injuries and illnesses
High-risk employees
Health surveillance programs
Ensure compliance with DOLE OSH standards and other regulatory requirements.
Prepare and submit required reports, including:
Annual medical reports (DOLE/BWC/HSD/OH-47)
Other government-mandated health reports
Ensure proper documentation of all health-related activities and assessments.
5. Medical Coordination & HMO Administration
Coordinate with company physicians regarding medical cases and recommendations.
Assist employees in accessing healthcare services through HMO-accredited providers.
Support the administration and processing of HMO-related concerns and requirements.
Facilitate medical clearances for:
New hires
Fixed-term employees
Third-party workers
6. Emergency Preparedness & Response
Support emergency response planning and implementation.
Ensure first aid readiness, availability of medical supplies, and trained responders.
Organize and participate in emergency drills and response activities.
7. Inventory & Medical Supplies Management
Maintain inventory of medicines and medical supplies.
Ensure adequate stock levels and proper storage of medical resources.
8. Data Analysis, Reporting & Management Communication
Analyze health data trends and provide actionable insights to management.
Prepare regular reports on employee health status, risks, and program effectiveness.
Communicate health and safety updates and recommendations to leadership.
9. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Manage onboarding and coordination of accredited healthcare suppliers and service providers.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support health initiatives.
10. Ergonomics & Workplace Health Advisory
Provide guidance on ergonomics and proper workstation setup.
Promote prevention of musculoskeletal disorders and workplace-related conditions.
11. Additional Duties
Perform other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor related to occupational health and safety.
What we look for:
Qualifications & Experience
Registered Nurse with a valid PRC license
With training or certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., OHNAP/BOSH/OSH-related) is preferred
Proven experience in occupational health, clinical nursing, or corporate healthcare setting
Technical Competencies
Strong knowledge of DOLE OSH Standards and regulatory compliance
Experience in case management, health surveillance, and medical documentation
Familiarity with HMO processes, health programs, and emergency response
Ability to conduct risk assessments and workplace health evaluations
