Description
At Classiq Technologies, we're shaping the future of quantum computing. Our platform lets developers and enterprises design, optimize, and deploy quantum algorithms at scale, and is trusted by Fortune 500 leaders and global governments. Classiq is backed by 70 patents. We're looking for a science-oriented software developer with a strong background in quantum information and quantum algorithms to help build our quantum compiler. We hire across levels, from researchers emerging from strong M.Sc./Ph.D. programs to seasoned engineers. The team is working onThe Qmod language and its compiler toolchain: semantics, type system, intermediate representation, and the next-generation compilation pipeline - this is a production compilerThe synthesis engine that lowers high-level programs into circuits optimized for width (qubits/ancillas), depth, and gate count under user constraintsImplement and improve quantum synthesis algorithms from the literature: arithmetic, multi-controlled-gate synthesis, Hamiltonian simulation (Trotterization, qDRIFT), state preparation, uncomputation, and fault-tolerant compilation (Clifford+T, routing)Resource estimation for quantum programsDebugging tools for quantum programs, for example, a visual model of the high-level program that lets users inspect and troubleshoot what they wroteCompiler-pass performance and correctness, benchmarked against real algorithms (e.g., Shor's algorithm, quantum phase estimation, QSVT)What you'll doDesign and develop production-grade capabilities for the quantum compilerOwn your code - it is production code that customers use to meet their goalsContribute to the architecture of the quantum compiler and the definition of our high-level quantum programming languageCollaborate closely with product and algorithm teams to deliver production-ready quantum capabilitiesWho you areM.Sc. or higher in Physics, Computer Science, or a related field, with a thesis or equivalent research in quantum information - the heart of the roleSolid understanding of quantum computing principles and hands-on experience developing quantum algorithmsAble to write real, maintainable code and eager to build production softwarePassion for building tools that empower developers and researchersBonus pointsExperience with quantum software frameworks (e.g. our platform, Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)Strong PythonBroader computer-science algorithms backgroundSoftware engineering experience building production-grade systemsPrior experience in compiler or synthesis-engine development
