Collins Aerospace is seeking hire Supervisor, Manufacturing/ Operations at Foley site - AL; This position has responsibility for driving employee engagement to the next level improving processes for reduced cycle time, ensuring proper flow of hardware to support the value stream safety, quality, delivery, and cost, with a special focus on industrialization strategies to implement technology and automation into the assembly process.

This role will be located onsite in Foley, AL.

Second Shift schedule is Monday – Friday from 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM with overtime and weekend work as needed.

What You Will Do

  • Direct work of assigned employees including appropriate management of time, prioritizing tasks, ensuring proper knowledge and training to accomplish assignments, and adherence to company policy and procedures.

  • Manages, coordinates and ensures manufacturing short and long-term goals are achieved within designated timelines. 

  • Works proactively in addressing potential issues and applies real-time problem solving skills when working towards resolution. 

  • Acts as a liaison between team members and other functional areas.   

  • Oversees, monitors and coordinates manufacturing team activities, giving importance to individuals members' and overall team achievement in achieving objectives. 

  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment in planning and accomplishing goals. 

  • Conduct daily and impromptu team meetings to ensure timely communication.

  • Facilitate on the job training and cross training through work assignments and use of mentoring to provide learning opportunities and ensure timely completion of all required OJT paperwork.

  • Provide regular feedback and performance coaching and counseling to all team members.

  • Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications you must have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices.

  • Experience with Continuous Improvement Tools.

  • Experience basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.

Qualifications We Prefer 

  • Aerospace manufacturing experience

  • Experience of manufacturing processes and utilizing/interpreting drawings & specifications to drive producibility improvements.

  • Teamcenter, SharePoint, SAP experience

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or ACE

  • Experience overseeing production, operations such as shop floor, workforce, and flow distribution management functions.

  • Experience setting daily operational objectives for a team.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
