Job Summary:
The EMT serves as a team member of the critical care transport team by utilizing their knowledge and skills to stabilize and move patients from one location to another.
1. Provide safe operations for all patients transported by a McLeod Critical Care Ambulance (both Heart Reach and Child Reach) as either driver or crew member.
2. Demonstrates competency and knowledge in ambulance operations, Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Just Culture.
3. Maintains positive communication (written and spoken) when collaborating with healthcare facilities.
4. Adheres to all McLeod Health and SC EMS DHEC policies as outlined in 61-7.
5. Completes accurate and timely documentation (written and electronic) per policy.
6. Demonstrates general knowledge of Incident Command Systems (ICS) and role in disaster responses.
7. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: A minimum of (2) years with a 911 system South Carolina Driver's license
Licenses and Certifications:
Emergency Medical Tech certification
Basic Life Support (BLS)
