Are you an experienced Dialysis Technician looking for a place where you belong? At DaVita, we are dedicated to improving access to and the quality of healthcare globally. As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, guiding patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment. You'll build meaningful, long-term relationships with your patients while continuously improving their health and well-being.
Please Note: This position will split time between Glen and Evanston. Additionally, this role requires flexibility as your schedule will vary based on the clinic needs.
What You'll Do
Deliver Life-Sustaining Care: Provide safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care.
Patient Monitoring: Closely monitor patients before, during, and after their treatment.
Technical Expertise: Set up, operate, and maintain critical dialysis equipment.
Data Management: Accurately record vital signs and patient data.
Empower & Educate: Educate patients on their treatment plans and overall kidney health.
Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and the rest of our dedicated care team.
What We're Looking For
Experience: Prior dialysis experience is highly preferred.
Education: Accredited High School diploma, general education development (GED) credential, or equivalent.
Flexibility: Willingness to split time between Glen and Evanston, and work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Readiness: Comfort working around blood, needles, and medical equipment, with the physical ability to work long shifts on your feet.
Preferred Qualifications: CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or additional healthcare experience is a huge plus!
