**Your role and responsibilities**
As a Delivery Consultant specializing in Technology Expert Labs services for IBM i, you will provide world-class infrastructure services solutions for clients with IBM Power servers running its IBM i operating system. In this role, you will apply your expertise to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Deliver Infrastructure Solutions: Provide world-class infrastructure services solutions for clients with IBM Power servers running its IBM i operating system, ensuring high-quality delivery that meets client needs.
* Support Client Systems: Apply expertise to support client systems, providing solutions that optimize their IBM i infrastructure and meet their business requirements.
* Collaborate with Clients: Work with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions that meet their specific requirements, leveraging expertise in IBM i and Power servers.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* Familiarity with IBM Power Servers: Basic awareness of IBM Power servers and their operating systems, particularly IBM i, including general concepts and use cases.
* Understanding of IBM i Operating System: Foundational knowledge of the IBM i operating system, its purpose, and key features.
* Basic Knowledge of Infrastructure Services: General understanding of infrastructure services concepts, including how solutions are designed to support business needs.
* Awareness of Client System Support Practices: Familiarity with common approaches to supporting client systems, including basic troubleshooting concepts.
* Exposure to Collaborative Solution Development: Understanding of how teams work with clients to gather requirements and contribute to solution development.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
* Java programming: Experience and knowledge.
* C Programming: Experience and knowledge.
* Familiarity with GitHub: Basic understanding of version control concepts and experience navigating or using GitHub for code repositories, collaboration, and change tracking.
* Basic Linux Knowledge: Familiarity with Linux operating systems, including common commands, file system structure, and general system concepts.
* Understanding of Computer Networking Fundamentals: Foundational knowledge of networking concepts such as IP addressing, DNS, connectivity, and basic troubleshooting.
