Dynamics 365 F&O Development

• Design, develop, and maintain customizations, extensions, and integrations within Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations using X++, Visual Studio, and related tools.
• Implement and maintain data entities, workflows, batch jobs, and reports (SSRS, Power BI).
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical designs and high-quality solutions.
• Optimize application performance, including query tuning, caching, and code refactoring.
• Ensure customizations follow Microsoft best practices for D365 F&O, including upgrade-safe extension patterns.
• Support release management, including build and deployment via LCS and Azure DevOps.

AI & Automation

• Identify opportunities to apply AI, ML, and automation within the D365 F&O ecosystem (e.g., invoice automation, anomaly detection, cash flow forecasting, demand forecasting, intelligent recommendations).
• Design and implement AI-powered features using Microsoft tools such as: 
  1. Azure OpenAI / Copilot Studio
  2. Azure Machine Learning / Cognitive Services
  3. Power Platform AI Builder
• Build and maintain integrations between D365 F&O and AI services/APIs, ensuring secure and reliable data flows.
• Develop data pipelines and feature engineering to prepare ERP data for AI/ML models.
• Collaborate with data/AI teams to train, validate, deploy, and monitor models used by business stakeholders.

General

• Integration: Architect and implement integrations between D365 F&O and other business systems (CRM, third-party applications, legacy systems) using Azure services, Logic Apps, Data Entities, and OData.
• Data Management: Lead data migration planning, strategy, and execution, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring scalable and high-performing solutions.
• Documentation: Produce and maintain technical design documents, architecture diagrams, and configuration guides.
• Quality Assurance: Perform technical testing, code reviews, and deployment processes.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with Microsoft’s D365 roadmap, recommending enhancements or upgrades to maintain system effectiveness. Be the point of contact with Microsoft for technical architecture, solutions, escalations
• Testing: Work closely with stakeholders to identify technical test scenarios and test cases. Lead the defect resolution. 
• Training: Contribute to training strategy. 
• Go-live: Provide input to cut-over planning.  Take part and lead in go-live activities within the scope of the role. 
• Maintenance & Support: Take part in maintenance, support activities related to the role scope, incident, problem & service request management
• Process: Adhere to relevant processes like project methodology, solution change management, configuration & release management, deployment management, post-production support processes. Align with project managers & support leaders for time planning, task execution, prioritizations. 
• Forums: Take part in different related projects and support forums. Contribute with inputs to these forums with requirements management, solution management, testing, support tickets resolution. 
• Hans-on approach: D365 ERP solution touches business processes in sales, order management, pricing, sourcing,  purchasing, manufacturing, inventory, warehousing, transportation, field service, financial management. Therefore, a very hands-on approach is needed in this role.  The role focuses on delivering business values through best fit technology solution in collaboration with key stakeholders from business and IT. 

Requirements

• Poses relevant Bachelor or Master Degree. 
• 5+ years of relevant technical work experience within 
• Proven experience as a Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Developer.
• Strong proficiency with: 
  • X++ and MorphX/Visual Studio development
  • Extensions, event handlers, and customization frameworks in D365 F&O
  • Data entities, OData, and REST APIs
  • SSRS reporting and/or Power BI for D365 F&O
  • Experience with LCS, Azure DevOps, and version control (Git) for builds and deployments.
• Technical (AI & Data)
  • Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts (classification, regression, clustering, forecasting, anomaly detection, etc.).
  • Experience with at least one of the following in production or PoC environments: 
  • Azure OpenAI / other LLM-based solutions (e.g., chatbots, document summarization, copilots)
  • Azure Machine Learning or Python-based ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
  • AI Builder / Power Platform for intelligent automation
  • Proficiency in C# or Python for building AI integrations, services, or data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and SQL (e.g., Azure SQL, Dataverse, data lakes).
• Experience working in large and complex D365 ERP implementation projects is a must. At least able to demonstrate 1 large implementation project. 
• Proficient in scripting and automation  (PowerShell, Azure CLI)
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (Azure DevOps,  GitHub Actions)
• Experience in hybrid cloud and on-premises integration scenarios
• Microsoft certifications in D365 F&O are an added advantage.
• Experience working in international environments and assignments are necessary. Have experience working with Europe, US, Asia implementations (Global implementation)
• Experience working with tools like Jira / HP ALM / ServiceNow, SharePoint is required. 
• Experience working in leading requirements, solution workshops. 
• Demonstrate solid ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Experience working agile and waterfall methodology. Thorough understanding of change, release, deploy, testing, training and IT service methodologies. 
• Able to understand business needs and translate business needs into tangible solutions. 
• Experience from B2B organization is an advantage.
• Be result driven and have analytical skills.
• Experience working with MS word, Power points, Excel and project related tools.
• Ability to multi-task and manage various task elements simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate in a concise and professional manner.

Responsibilities

As Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Azure Senior Developer in F&O and AI, you will be responsible for leading the technical design, development, and delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solutions as well as in Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Copilot studio, Power Automate and Dynamics 365 F&O. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and developers to ensure robust, scalable, and high-performing solutions that align with business objectives and best practices. You will also be responsible for leading the technical team during the implementation, Global rollouts and application maintenance. 
The role will be part of the Global IT team. Global Digital and IT Service is responsible to provide IT services and large programs, projects to support business strategy. The role is within the business transformation that is responsible for enterprise applications and large-scale transformation programs both in Digital and IT. The role reports to the Director Business Transformation at Piab Group.
