Accountabilities:
- Define and execute long-term technical strategies and architectures that support business growth and future product needs.
- Lead engineering teams in designing, building, launching, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and high-performance payment solutions.
- Partner with product, design, data, finance, legal, compliance, operations, and external stakeholders to deliver customer-focused experiences.
- Establish clear priorities, align engineering efforts with business objectives, and manage complex technical and product tradeoffs.
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence through strong development practices, quality standards, reliability improvements, and operational discipline.
- Guide technical leads and engineers in making effective architectural decisions while reducing technical debt.
- Empower individual contributors to expand their impact by leading initiatives across teams and platforms.
- Build, retain, and develop high-performing engineering teams through effective coaching, hiring, and talent development.
- Promote an inclusive and collaborative team environment focused on innovation, diversity, and continuous improvement.
- 3–5+ years of experience managing engineering teams and 9+ years of relevant software development experience in a technology environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong expertise in designing and building large-scale backend systems and user-facing applications.
- Proven experience leading and delivering complex engineering initiatives with significant business impact.
- Strong technical judgment and ability to make balanced decisions between short-term needs and long-term platform health.
- Experience collaborating with multiple engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and business decisions.
- Strong product mindset with experience creating intuitive and high-quality user experiences.
- Ability to adapt leadership style based on team needs and organizational context.
- Demonstrated ability to hire, mentor, retain, and grow engineering talent.

- Competitive base salary range of approximately $212,000–$265,000 USD depending on experience, skills, location, and market factors.
